Leathergoods brand Hermes is opening two new factories, creating 500 jobs over two years, to meet increasing demand for its products.

The first will be in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, close to Bordeaux, while the second will be in Montereau-Fault-Yonne, where the company owns the Gordon Choisy tannery.

It opened new sites in Isère and Charente in 2015.

Hermes employs more than 12,000 people worldwide and has 307 stores.
