Smit & zoon to celebrate special anniversary in Shanghai

To celebrate its special anniversary, Smit & zoon will offer fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies to visitors to its stand at ACLE.
The Smit & zoon story began in 1821 when Albert Smit founded the company. “Our values and strengths remain the same,” the company says today. “Our long-term focus, our innovative and agile nature and the consistent quality of our products and services have brought us where we are today.”
Its finishing division will show a wide range of newly developed articles at ACLE, including its non-ionic system. This is a range of various products (from waxes to acrylics, from PU to pigments) that can be used in both anionic and cationic applications. The new Universal and Universal LC pigments are part of the collection. The new system will allow reduced storage, easier usage and purchase, the company has said.
It will also have its Basemask series of products on display in Shanghai, a range that enables what it calls “an easy upgrade of leathers”, masking defects and leaving “an extraordinary natural look”. For its part Smit & zoon’s wet-end division will show leathers fatliquored with its new Synthol LA 915, a concentrated lanoline-based fatliquor. The LA 915 provides leathers with what the company calls “a warm and waxy handle”, while reducing water absorption and adding fullness to any fatliquor combination.
It will also show some articles that it has added to its Safetan range, including waterproof articles made with Safetan MW005. This retanning agent improves grain tightness and waterproof uniformity, the manufacturer has said.
