TFL prepares to launch new products at ACLE
15/07/2015
IPR combines “a pronounced filling effect” with softening and some retanning features, TFL said in advance of the 2015 event, adding that the filler can help simplify the wet-end process by reducing tanners’ need of traditional softening, retanning and filling agents. “Leathers produced with this polymeric retanning agent feature good heat-resistance, light-fastness and very good hydrolysis properties,” the company said.
It can be used to produce a wide range of leathers from wet blue or wet white, from soft articles to firmer types. It is free from formaldehyde and does not contain chemical substances that are restricted by any major chemical regulation, TFL added.
The company will also use the Shanghai event to present its latest solutions in its Low Impact Beamhouse and Tanning range. This comprises products and technologies that the company claims can lower the environmental impact of leather production by reducing chemical and biochemical oxygen demand, and the volumes in wastewater of ammonium, salt and chromium.
Along with this it will show new articles made using its successful chrome-free White Line tanning technology.
Of special interest to the automotive sector, TFL will show two new products: Coripol ESU and Coripol AV. The first is a high-performing fatliquoring agent ideal for soft articles and with high levels of heat and light fastness properties, while the company describes Coripol AV as “a very versatile fatliquor with outstanding emulsifying properties and best price-performance ratio”.
