According to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), 43 new projects with a total fund of $913.2 million are expected to launch in Fuxin Leather Production Base. Fuxin party secretary Pan Liguo announced the news at a recent signing ceremony.

Among the signed projects, seven are leather production and 15 are for leathergoods manufacturing.

Liu Baoxing, the city’s senior leader made a speech to congratulate the signing ceremony, saying that Fuxin is a charming city full of business opportunities and a prosperous outlook.

Mr Liu noted that the city government attaches an importance to the development of leather industry, and it aims to build the largest leather processing base in the northern part of China.
